hi i just wanted to know about this swap i own a 92 eg civic the engine in it n0ow has d15b4 which is the dual carby engine and i wanted to swap to d15b which is fuel injected and vtec now i know that the engine bolts straight in but with my engine the d15b4 it has a computer so does that mean that all the wires will connect onto the d15b and i have to put the comtputer in and also wire 3 wires for the vtec, is this right also are they the same fuel pump
thanks

no the fuel pumps are different, you will need to install an electric fuel pump, main relay to control the fuel pump and other things, also you need to install a fuel return line, change the winring loom from ecu to engine bay ( correct me if im wrong peeps ) , then your engine loom connect to that, also need to add an EFI fuel filter no biggie, also add an engine check light someware.

to my understanding the 3 wire trick only works on already efi cars being upgraded to a VTEC engine.

theres is a few things you need to consider, like rear brake upgrade and emmisions.

why a brake upgrade? unless u change the mass of the car dramaitcly then u shouldnt have to. U wont be going Faster (ull still do 60 in a 60 zone).
its just that with a new engine, u'll get there fatser..

brake upgrades really arent as importants ...

from an engineering perspective, u need the same brake's which the engine was orginally complienced with.

fair enough...
but do the front brakes change from an eg GL to a VTi?
