The range indicator tells you not only the calculated fuel consumption, but also the range that can be driven based on the amount of fuel remaining in the car.
If I drive my 1.5 litre VTi at 6L/100KM, I would expect, on a 42 litre tank, to drive close to 700km, but I'm only getting to 500km before being told my tank is empty.
However, I then can only put 30-33 litres in the car, indicating my tank isn't empty.
Is anyone else being told their fuel consumption is 6L or better and getting to drive more than 500km before the fuel light comes on?
