Pod Filter

Hey guys

had a look at my air filter yesterday and needs a replacement, so i thought i might get a Pod filter instead, i;ve already taken out the air filter box.

the two filters im looking at is a $25 SCA or a $46 Calibre, they both seem the same, and not much different from the other

which would you recommend to get, and would it make the car sound slightly better or just a little bit?

im not too keen on gettin a real expensive pod filther at the moment, just something to replace the air filter and maybe a bit of grunt as a bonus

hop on ebay and buy a 3a racing pod filter. Its only like 35 bux posted. Very cheap and very effective =]

Upgrading the filter may maike the car slightly louder if the filter itself is less restrictive than the factory one. A bit more air would be able to pass through at a given time which in theory should make it a smidge faster too. Would barely be noticeable though id say. But still worthwhile since u have to upgrade anyway.

+1 for 3A filter. But where can you get it for $35? I checked ebay - All much closer to $50 shipped...

what size 3a filter did you get to fit dc2 type r?

hop on http://www.3aracing.com.au/, theres a phone number down the bottom. Give them a call, u can pay over the phone and you can even pick what colour you want. Came to my door about $35 and 2 days later.

SCA and CALIBRE are the same, both owned by supercheap. I know cause I work there haha, don't get 'em they suck, go with 3a like the rest of the guys are saying, or if you wanna spend a bit get the apex'i power intake :)
