I'm pretty sure it was Riviera's first time at lakeside.. Pretty sure he ended up running a high 68sec around there... keeping up with a group a SS VK i think.. even showing up some skylines and silvias....

I have to say you've got me keen to get my clutch in and upgrade the brakes and tires...

low 68 bro lol 68.030 faster than my mate with his fully built RB25 punching out 480hpatw running hicas lockout 595SS's castor arms etc etc he ran a 68.5 ;) :thumbsup:

what diff ratio moo moo nel? You seem to be in four so early on WP main straight and touching limiter in 4th on back straight! My first times there were on stock sussy and street tyres so hard to compare but ur in gears earlier than would be explained by semis I think! What sort of wheel hp??? Nice smooth lines!

my gearbox is from the FN2R
so final drive should be 5.062(?)

Ur running a k20 in the dc2r wow no wonder it's fast.
I've got a fn2r and the gear ratios are very short, 3rd gear redlines at about 120km/h
so definately normal to hit 4th on the straight

which LSD are u using??

Thanks.... Yeah I've been getting into hillclimbs lately. Less stress on the car than track and less cost, too! Found an awesome hillclimb track near Grafton that they do hillclimbs on! It's a steep, short climb up to what is actually a go cart track. Awesome fun! There's about four times in a run (which is less than a minute) that you enter a corner very sideways and power thru! I have only been in two events but have won my class both times (U2L Road reg limited mods)!!! Going again this weekend to the Cooperabung hillclimb! Would be significantly quicker if I had money to throw at tyres and susp! How's the saving going? We're building a house so I'm not anticipating being able to get my car up to the level I would like for a while!

I just checked out a youtube vid of grafton,nice and tight! I can see how U would love that coarse mate,super suited for the little eg.I would be understeering through most of those corners cause they are real tight...I just put some coils in and am gonna corner balance it soon,so if I get my understeering issues a bit more under control I'll come there with ya!

I can see what ya mean about being less stressful on the car.

No saving happening here mate haha,studying Horticulture @ TAFE,on benefits :)

Judging by this post this would have to be Ian, Mate it was great to see another honda down at grafton. For the first time at the track you went really well, you would have to have been happy with that time for your first time at the track. I hope i was able to help you out a bit when we were down there. I've been up the gold coast doing a 3 week training course so i havn't even seen any of my video's from the weekend yet haha. I'll grap them off jason and try and put a link on here of the unofficial class track record that i got on the day. Next meeting is on the 17th of Oct, lets get some honda's down there. I'll even put $100 up for anyone that can beat me haha (Just to get some people down there hehe)

Yep! It's me. Had a blast. Even more fun than my day at Wakefield Park. Would be nice to get in 8 or 10 runs though and get some more feel! I looked at our splits and I'm not far off in most places, about half a second, but it's in the second lap of the cart track that your car is obviously more nimble and you put more than a second on me (and most cars out there!) - can't be driver diff!?!?!

Would love to see more H cars at the Oct 17 event! I'll be there! I just want to warn people though that they are not going to get Brian's $100! Unless your car is lighter than 750kg, has more power than any stock CTR or ITR, your body's lighter than 70kg and you've done more than 100 laps of the Mountainview track - he's keepin' the cash!!!

It's just 15 mins out of Grafton (north) so there must be some GoldCoast Hondas that could drive the 2 and a bit hours to take a crack! For not much more than you pay for a run a Willowbank, you'll get a full day of fun and this track will clearly tell you where your setup is lacking!

Thanks for all your help, Brian! Next time I won't need to warm the brakes up out near Tabulum so I should be able to change my own wheels! Got any Front susp tips! Need to stop the front rolling!

By the way! I went to Cooperabung hillclimb last w/e and with just a change to 5 yr old semi's I was 1.5 sec quicker than last time. Broke the track record for my class by over a second and won my class on the day by 5.5 seconds! It's more of a power track than Mountainview. Brakes once, top out at 150+km/h - all in the space of 750metres and 31.1 seconds! Tricky loose surface in patches though!

Feels like a lifer right now, although we're about to move to a rental house for a yr or so that has a driveway I can't get onto! Everything I could think of that I would enjoy would be lots more cash, lots more fuel, lots more maintenance, and very little surprise factor! An EVO 6 would be nice for instance, but turbo thirst, hard on clutches, always going to be fast and no capital H... I can't see me giving it up any time soon, unless I do a Brian and chuck the engine in a lighter car for motorsport only!

went to the last round of grafton on the 17th oct. ended up getting a PB of 50.91 4th fastest outright, not bad for a little 1600cc civic

official 1600cc record 52.23 (held by my old crx)
official 2000cc record 51.10 (held by a vw bettle)

bring on the state titles next year, fingers crossed i can make the 1600cc record faster than the 2000cc one haha

Here is a link of me chasing down a Mazda RX2 in the first round of the W.A sprint series 2011.
Barbagallo Short Circuit, I did a PB of 56.7sec on the day.
I kept on catching up to cars in front of me so I only got 1 run without traffic lol.
1st in class and 4th fastest car (touring car) outright.
