Ok so my wheels arrived today but instead of having a red trim, it was still in silver and it looked ridiculous. I called them up and they offered me a full refund or we could go half way with painting costs - service provided by them.
So i was just wondering if anyone had their rims re-painted before and how does the process go. Do they :
1) Remove laquer/paint on existing wheel and re-do the whole job?
2) Just spray over the whole wheel and then do a recoating of laquer?
3) Include sanding down with sandpaper at all?
4) Is powder-coating or spraying better?
5) How much it usually costs if done by a professional
They quoted me about 105 for each rim but i dunno if thats normal or if they gonna pull off a dodgy job.
I need to give them an answer by tomorrow so any help, advice, comment would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)
