Make sure the rubbers sealing the roof are in good condition as buying replacements are expensive from Honda.
Its a quick little car, just heavy for the size of it.

pays to chech the ecu for codes, this will tell your if there is a problem with PGMFI, SRS, ABS, just by shorting the short connector, ( unless some smart ass has reset the ecu before you came ) any way drive it then test for codes,
also look out for
- rear trailing arm bushes
- oil leaks from sump, rocca, pully area, gearbox, and stearing rack.
- look for oil sluge under the oil filler cap, ( vegimite looking )
- make sure cv joints arnt clicking
then the useual things you look at when buying a car, belts brakes tyres, dents , scrathes, hoses, things that dont work,
but you will have to live with the rattles from the roof area, they come with compliments from honda :)

good thing is you replace your air bag and it also includes the ecu, chances are your going to fix it, but bad thing is it will cost a bit, but you should really have it diagnosed.

yes targa's su*K...
I have one (MR2, not CRX) and it leaks slightly if the targa isnt put on perfectly.. very tempremental those rubber seals... Very annoying in the rain coz u get drops into ur thigh or passengers thigh every couple of seconds..

that's coz your vtec fell off.
Given the age of the car and the fact that it's just a known problem... it's probably a given that the roof will leak a few drops...
but a bit of silicone grease on the seals will patch it up rather nicely.
