hi guys,

i've got a 1995 Honda Civic eg and over the wknd I pulled out the old rack and pinion to replace it with a second hand one. I don't believe we touched anything to do with the clutch but its now squeaking when you push it in and let it out. I have been told that the clutch master cylinder is leaking, just wondering if it has no fluid left and that is why its squeaking or if it could be something else?
Also another strange thing was before the connecting point of the clutch was really low, almost at the floor so i thought there was a problem with the hydrolics or something. Now the clutch is more normal and is springy the whole way? does that make sense, its hard to explain.

open your engine bay and check for fluid level in bmc reservoir.

your clutch wouldn't be working at all if there was no fluid in the reservoir

I cant see your pics because they're blocked at work, but I presume you meant clutch master cylinder? not brake master cylinder?
