I pulled my speakers out yesterday, and noticed they do cover the rear door speakers.
They in fact have wiring and a plug running to the rear door locations though, but when I plugged in a speaker they didn't power on.
So I guess they are disconnected from the source. But there IS wiring running to the rear doors.

thanks guys ye i installed my own splites into the front and wanted to slowly work on a system with a sub and all.. the only problem is i can't get power to the rear doors. like theres cabling as the guy above said but whats the point of the cabling if theres no power? i tried checking the fuses and no luck. any ideas? and will a straight amp be enough to power them up?

Well if you are running an aftermarket amp, you will need to run new wiring anyway, so yes it will work.
I wouldn't bother wasting money on rear speakers if you are slowly doing up your system.
Spend well on your front splits, get a nice amp and a subwoofer.

thanks for the tip what about the rear speakers? should i leave them stock..? and i want the person in the passenger seat to shit a brick when the bass kicks in but don't wana spend over 600 bucks. is this possible? i can do the installation that aint a problem. but i know nothing about systems. i have a euro 05 model im going to install a dvd player in the console box under the factory cd player and connect everything to that. any1 know where i can get a tutorial for this?

If you don't want to spend over $600, you're going to be stuck with pretty much just an average DVD player and that's all you'll be able to afford.
Don't upgrade your rear speakers on such a small budget. You'll find most of the best competitive cars don't run any rear speakers at all.
But I don't see you getting much for $600. Even second hand, building a full system with $600 is going to be hardly a step up from your stock system.

i already have a dvd player thats not a problem. and currently have splits at the front all i really need it an amp and sub now.. even got the wiring kit from my old car.. soo ye just really need to find a sub for 300 and an amp for 300.. ? or is 600 still not enough for both?
