I'm replacing the airbag unit in my 1997 accord, however the airbag i've gotten hold of has a slightly different plug to the one that was in my car before.
Does anyone have some tips for popping the pins out so i can swap the plastic plug over?
Thanks.

I would recommend not doing that. get a unit that is an exact replacement. Air bags aren't something you want to mess around with, could open unexpectedly or not at all in the event of an accident.

may I ask why you're replacing it? accident?

Yes.
And I've found the info I need now.
Thanks :).

if your airbag went off your car would've been significantly damaged, normally it would get replaced when the car gets fixed

Not true, minor rear ender by the cars previous owner.
Obviously enough of a jolt to set it off but not much in the way of any damage really.
Obviously I'm fixing it now.
