wonder if anyone can give us some advise about 3 months used car from a car trader.
i bought used car 2 months ago.
it has 3 months warranty, now the car has a lot of problem.
shock absorber leaking, central lock not working and the worst part is convertible motor not working anymore.
i went there to fix it, and they said they have to wait the part and wiring diagram to fix convertible motor.
it's been 3 weeks already, they said they will give me a call.
the 3 months warranty will be expired in 2 weeks.
i was thinking they are trying to buying time until the 3 months warranty expired .
what can i do at this time??
cheers

it's in their hands, refuse to take it back until they've fixed it

you can't just keep something for a little longer until it's out of warranty then hand it back and go 'sorry mate, out of warranty'

not only that you reported it before the 3 mnonths and thats their fault if the parts comes late - go to ACCC if you feel that they are playing with you

if the car is there, just wait until they get it fixed. if not drive the car there and tell them to fix it and leave the car there.

last time i bought from the dealers, took a month to fix my gearbox.

never buying from dealers ever again, i remember you said you bought it from the dealers no problems, look now. lol... (i think it was you :P)

yeah i did probably...
i had no problems at all before.
and when i had a problem, they are trying to run away
probably they knew it that's so expensive to fix the motor

When i first bught my used car from a dealer, i ended up getting a 1 year warranty on it, 4-5 months into it, water pump broke and it is under the warranty. but they didnt fix it, what they didnt tell me about the warranty, was the warranty is only valid if the car is serviced every few thousand kms by a certified mechanic under the dealerships name

Any chance, did they tell you that or follow that?

speak with the department of fair trading in your state.
ACCC - don't bother, they are only interested corruption not consumer dealings

i only drive the car 500kms, so the didnt tell me anything like that
i just sent them an email , if they are trying to wasting my time until the warranty expired, i'll report it to accc and fair and trading.
i'm waiting for their reply..

should just drop by in person, show them you're more serious
they can just conveniently miss your email because it went to their spam inbox
