if the handbrake light keeps coming on then check the fluid level in your brake master cylinder, it could be too low!


Its hard to say what the rattling sound is without having a look at the car, it could be that the tappets need adjusting which is quiet common. Possibly try and take a video and upload it on youtube?

I will definitely look into the brake master cylinder levels. I will post up a video tomorrow then and see if someone can tell what is up.

Definitely check the fluid levels.
Has it been extra cold the past couple of nights? Could be the reason for the hand brake light to come on. In this case, no biggie. It's happened twice to me during winter when I started the car at dawn, was super cold and frosty that night. And a couple of times in a FTO. Fluid levels were fine too.
