Hey Guys,

Been trying to search for some details on the stereo in my car?

I was wondering if there is an amp under the seat?

Looking at adding an amp and some subs in the boot, can this be connected to the amp? or has to come from back of the unit?

Also looking for something so I can connect my ipod?

Also is there a better unit I can put in my Nav area? I know the unit is interlocked with the controls on the dash, but was wondering if there was some units out their suitable?

you can run a Jaycar High RF to low RF convertor, around $15.
they take a pair of normal speaker wires and convert them to an rca output.

to install,
remove existing wiring off the 6x9 parcel shelf speakers and terminate into the Input side of the Jaycar convertor.
run the RCA output to your new amplifier.
use a 4 channel amp, one channel to the sub (if single coil) and 2 other channels can be used to re-power the 6x9's
you will have to run a + power cable from your battery to the amp like normal and a ground from the amp to chassis as per normal amplifier installation.

this works fine providing your amp can high pass or low pass filter between channels 1+2, 3+4

as far as i know there is no oem amp fitted, but i may be wrong.
