sounds a bit rich, are you sure they are not including anything else?
from memory it should only cost up to or around $100 as the fluid is costly.
Shop around mate

Regular transmission fluid change for a manual is about $120 at places other than the dealer. So CVT would be more expensive. If you look around different places, make sure they use the proper Honda CVT fluid. If they can't get it, considering bringing it in yourself so that the 3rd party workshop will only have to supply the labour (and crush washer).

I purchased the CVT fluid from Honda for about $100. Did the fluid change myself, reset the cvt, and the change can be instantly felt. Would recommend anyone to change it if their jazz are having vibration issue when move off from a stationary position.

Did you mean a replace as you going to need more than 2.8l if you're going to do a flush and replace.

Make sure they follow the correct procedure, notbsure if u have any issues with vibrations but usually there is a specialized procedure for flushing them

A flush and a replace is two different procedure.

... just have twice the amount of CVT fluid for a flush and then add a few hundred ml on top of that to compensate for any unexpected loss of fluid.

For a flush it is to refill the transmission with fresh CVT fluids and then have the vehicle follow a procedure dictated by Honda which may involve having the car driven for a few KM, apparently this is to ensure the transmission is cleaned (?) (never bothered to question it) and then it is to be drained again and refilled with another batch of fresh CVT fluid.
This was the process for the CVR with the vibrations upon 4x4 activation and may differ from the hybrid, but more than likely similar.
Doesn't hurt to buy more, you will need it eventually and they don't have a short shelf life.

Because when you do a drain of the CVT fluid (same applies to auto transmission too), only part of the fluid comes out. So you drive around to have the new fluid mix with the old fluid and drain a 2nd time so that the remaining fluid is cleaner than if you had just drained and refilled.

Nood? :p
If this is for your FD3, it is still pretty new, so you should be alright with just doing a standard drain and refill. If you change the CVT fluid every 1.5 to 2 years, then you don't need to do the double drain. For older cars which have not had their transmission fluid changed for a loooong time, then yes, doing it twice is the way.
