Some low life badged the rear badge off my teg and took some paint off as well.

Does anyone know how much a new badge retails for and the compound applied to it to help stick it?

Regards

OEM is ~$85 - you can industrial double-sided tape - or superglue if you're paranoid.

i have an oem set if you want to buy. You can have the PAIR for 75bucks. They were brand new, mate put them on his car for a month now though.

pm me.

ps, dont buy them e-bay ones that come to your door as pink...lol

Sorted an OEM badge and fitted. Had some fun trying to remove the left over double sided tape, it was recommended to me to try and use WD40, vegetable oil and a bit of blow drying... those 2 options didn't work at all.

I found the best thing to use is engine degreaser. Just that $2 export quality stuff you find at your local automotive shop is perfect. After reading the label there was nothing about damaging paint however don't forget to wash it off well cause if you leave it on for more than a couple of hours it may damage the finish.

Apply the degreaser on the left over tape and also apply some on a non scratch cloth and work the cloth gently on the left over tape and presto, job done. Comes right off hasle free!!!

I'd recommend washing the car after...
