Just a noob question but how do you replace your yellow parker lights with white led ones? do you have to take the bumper off to gain access to the lights? same with the rear reverse light. And can anyone recommend bright white led's (like the correct ones for honda) and where to get them?
thanks.

no need to remove the front bumper.
to change the left parker, turn the steering wheel to the right to full lock. then remove the front most 3 or 4 clips holding the black plastic fender lining on the inside of the wheelarch and peel it back. if your car's old, the plastic might be quite hard, you just have to pull with enough force.
this gives access to the parker and indicator holders (parkers at the bottom, indicators towards the top) which are held to the back of the housing by a bayonet like mechanism. turn the holder anti-clockwise and then pull straight back to release it.
the parker bulbs on the AP1 are T10/168 size wedge style bulbs. I have a pair from superbrightleds.com, however don't buy ones longer than 1.5-2cm or so, as they won't fit in the housing properly (my holders' bayonet tabs wouldn't engage so I'm holding mine in with blu-tac, lol). the wedge bulbs are simply pulled straight out of the holder and the new ones replace them by being pushed in. if you want to reuse your old ones later, don't touch them with your fingers (use a cloth or tissue to remove them).
then replace the holders by inserting into the housing and twisting clockwise until they lock, and put back the fender lining with clips. repeat for other side :)

ebay is your best friend.. gotta admit, they're bright as hell.. I installed mine yesterday in like 1:30mins flat.. ghetto reach style.
Basically they are slightly different technology to the average LED, these apparently produce no heat, produce brighter light and is alot smaller.. I have 4 spot SMD per parker, so it keeps me and my garage door happy.....

Ummmm guys, a flat head screwdriver slots under the parkers on the fender. The parker lights have a 1-2mm gap to slide a flathead screwdriver under. Just push the clip (by pushing the flathead screwdriver into the light) with the screwdriver and bam! Out she pops! No need to remover inner guard lining or plastic and shit. lol.

nice photos! just wondering which sizes should I look for, for the ones you used in the dome?
been trying to change my parkers in the front but I didn't want to wreck the guard... I couldn't put my hand in there to change it, such a pain in the ass...

Dome: 3175_4HP_W_5K (note: comes with 1 bulb, so ull need to order 2)
Parker/Trunk/Plates: 194_13_SMT_W_5K (note: this bulb is actually too long for the trunk so u cant close the cover. i just left my cover open)
ill upload pic of my parkers..
but i just took the wheel off, and undid part of the splash guard to access the parkers.. long process but yeah.. doesnt bother me..
:)
Parkers:
Driver side is the V-LED and passenger side is some cheap "white" led. as u can see its a more pure white..

with the headlights on, the V-LED's are closer to the HID's as opposed to the old ones

^^^^ How much are the V-LEDs? I just realised mine have a blue tinge... lol Maybe someone wants to buy mine so I can buy V-LEDs! Nice photos btw.. And if I may ask, your HID is FACTORY right? It matches well!
theyre quite dear for what they are.. but ive seen alot of the US cars with them and seemed really good so i got some..
for 2 x dome (they come in singles)
3 x pair parker/plate/boot (i dint know they came in pairs, i just assumed it came in singles like the dome)
so total of 8 led globes with shipping $92.74
i believe my HID's are factory.. lol
