Hey guys , I received a letter saying that someone had complained tht my car is too noisey from the nsw climate change and water. I Now have to get an inspection for noise and emmissions.

My car has a cai and full exhaust system but my catback is hks silent so it is quiet.

Will I have to return the car to stock?? Any info would be helpful please thank you.

Also didn't know where to post this thread so sorry if it's wrong section

Cover your pod or put the box on. You can get a test to see how loud your exhaust is (I think 90 decibels in the loudest legal for VIC, no idea about NSW). Will cost a little $ though, like $50-100 I think for the test.

Emissions would be your main concern here, the standard airbox will take you 5 mins to chuck on, hks silent won't be too loud. As long as the cat you have is stock or at least suitable for aust. markets you should be fine. If you have a hectic 100cpi cat, your chances of passing emissions won't be good.

Hmm I don't know my cats CPI , I just know it's a French cat. So having headers won't matter ?

Header is fine, so long as it doesn't compromise functionality of the car and emissions. I think Europe is less strict on their emissions stuff aren't they? And what French brand is this? I've never heard of a French brand in the AUS/JDM/US Honda scene!

Is there any change you can swap your cat back to stock? that's probably your best bet
