View Full Version : Voltage stabiliser or not?

Hi guys,

I currently have an 03 euro, having some electrical issues with flickering LEDs (custom) and flickering HID's. Now the funny thing is that my car can idle at 2 different RPMS (it's quite random). On a good day, it'll idling at 800ish where my HIDs don't flicker at all! However, when it's idling at 600ish RPM, it flickers and the interior custom LEDs flicker quite wildly!

Now my question is, what could be the source of this problem and would a voltage stabiliser resolve this?

I know that Euros have some voltage fluctuations but if there are any other people out there with similar issues and have installed a voltage stabiliser, did it make a big difference and did it fix your idling issue?

I actually got my car tuned a couple months back and even then, I had this same issue. Also, the battery is only 3 months old (supercharge gold)

Cheers

Check the grounding straps/leads in the engine bay.

Maybe a high voltage grounding kit..I believe that would be more beneficial than a voltage stabilizer.
