Hi Guys

Just put a deposit down on a RB1 Odyssey today and i have some question for you guys.

1. I wanna lower it with springs. What are the best springs? Do i need rear adjustable camber arms ( as im going for bigger wheels)? Where is the best places to get these things?

2. Wheels

I want 19's but to have 19's and the correct load rating i need 245 tyres, Do they fit???

If not do 235 tyres fit in an 18?

Any help would be appreciated

Mitch...

I'm sure that someone will come and tell you to use the "search" function first.... as I've just bought my own Odyssey and have read the forum in full.... here's a helping hand.

Also, 2 hours is not enough time to expect a response.

Cheers... enjoy the new car... I know I am. :)

I've only had experience with Tanabe NF210's. But I had them so long ago that I can't remember what they were like, in fact I can't remember what the stock suspension feels like :p .Other brands easily avaialble here are Tein S Tech's (aka_NSX is/was on them). I have been using coilovers for over 2 1/2 years now.

I was told that because the drop on springs is only 30mm, I didn't need them, but I got them anyway to preserve my tyres. I've been on my RE001's for 40k km and they have no sign of uneven wear. If you want to go 18 and above I would get camber kits.

I'm not sure of load ratings for 19's. The tyre width depends on your rim width also.

imo, no good springs on stock damper esp you purchase yr RB1 used. time you put the spring on then may be abt 6 months time yr damper are gone.

Do i need rear adjustable camber arms ( as im going for bigger wheels)?
once lowered, you will need rear camber kit. even some RB1 need camber kit with OEM suspension due to having 7 seats occupied all the time

Where is the best places to get these things?
depends where you locate and how much you want to pay

i think there is 225/40/19 with 95 load rating available in the market.... anyways, 245/235 will not fit with 6.5"/7" width either 18"/19" diameter. in short, its all depend on the width of rim and offset in order to fit under-guard without rolling

Will a 19x8.5 rim fit with a 245/35 tyre? I think it will rub on the front

if not an 18x8 with a 235/40 tyre?

no one can answer yr question without knowing offset and i have posted tips before for determining how much room available can play with.... search mate
