Hey everyone,

I'm new, been lurking for a few weeks, but hadn't introduced myself yet.
From the Gold Coast, 20 years old, Graphic Designer - work in publishing.

I've had my civic for about 9 months now (wow that went quick)
Previously owned: 325 BMW, VP Holden, Ford Explorer.
Downsized to the civic because I had no money, no job, and my explorer was about to cost me an arm and a leg in service.

I brought the car with the basics:
17" Advantis
Muffler + Exhaust (sounds alright, but not as nice as I would like it)
dodgy home job tint

Since haven't really done a whole lot especially under the hood.
thorough service: new pads, plugs, oils, etc.

sound:
new pioneer head unit
new pioneer 300w 6x9's in the rear
new pioneer amp
Built a ported subwoofer box to fit the boot with 2x 1200w JVC subs. which also lowers the rear of my car because it's so heavy.

paint:
re-painted coloured door trims
black tinted indicators
red calipers

lighting:
played with numerous amounts of Lights, mostly because it's cheap, easy, and I like the look of them.
ranging from; eyebrow LED strips (short and long), coloured parkers, footwell lights, and so on.
currently have; ultra white headlights (forgot exactly what, but they're the good white.. not shitty) LED: strip parkers, plate lights, cabins, cluster, side panel lights (lights up the panel where the front driver/passenger seatbelts come out from) 2x 25LED lighting up the boot with another 2x20LED SMD strobe strips in the sub port holes.

kept all the lights bright whites. simply to try stay with the car's black and white feel which I really didn't want to deter too far away from.

so, now I'm pretty much ready to start tweaking what I can under the bonnet.
I don't plan on putting much money into this, as it's just a run around toy until I move. but, I think its about time I put some time into the mechanics. so, please by all means throw me suggestions on any small projects I can do under the hood that will help me out.

I've attached a bunch of photos. bits and pieces.
Overall it's just a nice clean well kept car.

let me know what you think!

Yeah, only have 3rd party though. so I'm still looking at $1200 excess up front (male under 22 - **** my life)
then all the damages on my car. so it's turned out to be quite the expensive u-turn.

I was parked on the side of the street, and doing a u-turn to drive back down the hill.
saw a car with a trailer pulling out of a driveway on the opposite side of the street, so i went to do the u-turn and to get in front of the car with trailer (wasn't fast or anything silly)

didn't check my shoulder, 08 CL65 amg merc came flying up the hill, swerved to miss but as I was turning, my front right bumper hit the passenger side of his. (just infront of the rear wheel)
took the entire front bumper off my car, as well as the big metal bar. (so all that is there is radiator etc now)
but from what I can tell it was a pretty clean cut.
the bumper and metal bar got taken off, but everything else looks all in tact.
obviously had to move the car off the street, and it drove fine, so im hoping theres no mechanical.

but yeah, will definitely be needing a facelift.
can anyone on here point me in the right direction to getting the front of the car / bumper looked at fixed or replaced?
I'll be driving my sisters old festiva around in the time being, so.. I'd like to get it fixed sooner then later lol.

*** ON A LIGHTER NOTE.
if the car had of not swerved, or been a few seconds later/earlier. he probably would have t-boned me. and at the speed he was going, probably would have wrecked both cars.
