Buying new wheels for EK

Hey guys i had a look around on here and didn't have much luck finding the answer to my question even though i'm sure it would have been asked before.. anyway

i was looking at buying some new wheels for my EK (15x7 or 16x7) and i wanted them to sit just inside the guards (maybe 1cmish) what sort of offset and tyre sizes am i looking at to do this? my car has had about a 1 inch drop aswell if that changes much

given all things equal, at 7" the sweet spots probably around +40-35 range
anyone disagree?

yea, i took off one of my wheels this morning to measure some dimensions to check the offset and they are +40 (17x7). sitting about 8mm inside the guards on the back and 5mm on the front so i'm thinking you're pretty spot on man. thanks a lot for the help
