Hey to all my fellow S owners. Just to let everyone know I have upgraded my sound system in mine and am stuck to think of a sub. I have come across a 10" under-seat subwoofer with amplifier that's made by focal and stands at 83mm height. I'm curious to know if anyone has experimented with this particular sub and whether it fits underneath either seat.

I don't want to put anything in the boot unless it's last resort from getting something in the cabin. The sub can be viewed on the below link which is called the Bus25

Any advice or suggestions are welcome

I havent had experience with one, but if anyone is interested, jaycar also do an 8inch underseat sub. for $160...good for people on a budget. no idea on bass or quality tho.

or if you get a set of great quality mid range speakers in the doors they will produce enough bass without the need for a sub.

Ah ok well have u actually tried fitting it or r just assuming it won't fit. I respect that u had one but did u physically try and fit it how about the bus20?

have you ever check the space under your seat ? I'm quite sure you will never can put any sub box even the Bus20

unless if you want to try fit it behind the seat . . . either Bus20 or Bus25 should be ok there

I have a feeling it won't fit. Most struggle to fit amps under the seat. I tried to fit a Kicker amp under the seat which is probably 2-3 inches tall with no luck. Best option is as stain suggested, get quality midrange components up front, or put something in the boot. you might need to spend a little on something custom to retain your boot space.

Hmmm I haven't bought it yet although going tomorrow to have it fitted and checked to see if it fits but I thought some1 might of already played with one and could f prevented me the drive as the guy who sells it is one of cockiest and arogant pricks I have ever spoken to.

I am trying to put this in as it comes with an amp and any subs I put in the boot I have to buy another two Channel amp or a monoblock to power it

I should also mention that i am currently running a 4 channel for two front and two rear speakers mounted in roll bar holes

I barley fit my Greddy ecu under the seat, I doubt you'd fit much at all under there.

I'm just about to install speakers in my roll bars too. I was poking at those focal subs a while back but I came to the conclusion that they didn't seem worth the money

Yea it is pretty much impossible to fit anything under the driver seat. I couldnt fit an amp in there.. I think the passenger seat opens up abit more..?

JL make a subbox for the s2k that plonks right in. Fits where the tools are In the boot like the pic but sub sits in the middle but not sure if there's a spot on the back of the box to fit the amp. It comes with an option for a cage thingy to protect the sub cone. Put plugs in and u can easily remove it on track days. If I can find the site I'll post it up.
