all d series gearbox interchangeable?

hey guys my gf just blew her gearbox recently, its a d15 automatic twin carburetor engine. i assumed all d series gearbox would fit all d series engines? correct me if im wrong

best to get a D AT that suits your era,

yes they will fit physicly, but an AT from a newer PGMFI car will use the ECU to run the lock up torque converter.

you need to ensure your carby AT uses the same method otherwise you will have problems with a newer AT

I did but im hesitating due to the zc being dohc. Guessing still all interchangable since all D series anyway ?

actually, they arent all the same.

The ED series auto box is a heap smaller than the EG/EK auto box.
