Ok So I drive a ek1 with a b18cr in it with 137,xxx on the clock.
The car drives fine at first when i just start it. But once it reaches the optimum temperature and after about 10-15mins+ of driving. It loses performance randomly. And when it loses performance, the car chokes, struggles, bogs, spikes, sputters the entire rev range in all gears.
Feels like I'm driving with the aircon on in "summer" and one of the spark plug leads out but much more rough.
Once the symptom arises I either have to drive a further 3min+ or turn off the car for a few minutes then its gone.
So far i've changed
The oil with fresh Mobil 1 Oil
Oem Fuel pump
Oem Oil Filter
Oem Fuel Filter
Oem Thermostat
Oem Coolant
Ngk Leads
Ngk Iridium spark plugs
This only happened since I changed the thermostat due to my old one was stuck open and the car never got pass 1/4 way on the thermo when driving.
Any overheating issues at all ? maybe vacuum hoses or something.

Sounds like a temp sensor or maybe even a coil issue. Hard to diagnose online. You may need to bite the bullet and pay to have it diagnosed!

i honestly think you are having fuel pump issues they are the major symptoms of a fuel pump on the way out.....
and honda pumps wont usually just die they tend to back off and slowly just be a pain then die...... get it checked

too many variables, you really need someone to look at it to diagnose or you will be chasing your tail on here. Get your fuel pressure checked as a start. And does it blow any black smoke out or anything when its running crap? If so it could be a dodgy coolant temp sensor, so your ecu would be getting the wrong temperature and screwing your fuel mixture up, thinking its cold all the time. these are guesses though, you need someone to look at it

Definately sounds like your fuel pump - get it checked it.
This is exactly how my car acted before the fuel pump died.

Hrmmm =/
It Happens at random times and When it happens I have to drive it for a good 5-10mins + some wot runs Then it will slowly get back to its full performance.
It's like it struggles to climb the revs and its sputters. Leads + Plug + dizzy was changed around 10,000km ago aswell
Usually this symptom happens when i stop at a light or idle the car for a few minutes when driving normally for 15-20mins+.
Feels like im driving with one of the Spark plug lead out But much more slow and very very rough.

Fuel pump, get it checked.
^ what geeang said. Cant hurt to change fuel pump if you know it's never been changed in its whole life before. Nothing to lose. =]

check the spark plugs and see if they are fouled up, also could be fuel filter clogged.
Try doing a full service first before forking out more money for a fuel pump

OK I have replaced the fuel pump and the symptom is still there.
After a 15-20min+ drive the car will randomly lose power, chokes and sputters and climb the revs really rough.
Happens when i stop at a light or wait in traffic even if its for like 10-15 seconds.
Could it be the icm playing up when its hot?

my b18 was spluttering, i found out my leads were in need of replacing, so i changed them and it fixed the problem.
get some leads of a friend and try them on ure car and see what happens, nothing to lose.
