In-Dash Screen in a DC2

Hi guys,

Just wondering if in-dash screens go well in DC2 integras? coz, looking at it, the vents kinda stick out and makes me think that the screen will fit, but not fully open due to the vents being in the way. Has anyone fitted one on their DC2?? Did the vents get in the way?

i have a 7" on the bottom of the double din part and it just makes it but makes the dvd player above it tricky to use if it was on the top it wouldn't open enough to see it

yeah ive had a tv in the second part of the double din as well..
You cant have it in the top because the screen wont tilt far enough to be able to view it.

cool thanks guys...so as long as its on the bottom DIN slot it should fit and able to be viewed with no problems?

Yeah same as above in dash 7" screen in the bottom of the double din fits fine whenit opens fully just touches the climate controls but fine

can be in first third or fifth gear when it comes out casue it hits gear stick ( not that im ever in a gear when a movie is playing \:)

yeah ive got a 7" monitor in my car.
when it opens the climate controls stop it from reaching a full 90 degrees :(
but i can still watch movies :D (not whilst the car is moving of course) :thumbsup:

Go custom and make it where the air vents are
I got an ls and have done also I have seen in a DC2

but then you loose the vents....

You could modify the ashtray part and put it down lower even i have seen that
or even go the kendwood double DIN screen which doesnt need room to come out

it is possible to put it in the vents, just gotta block it off.
but.. instead, when i was gonna buy a dc2, i wanted this dvd/screen that would be perfect for the dc2.
it's a kenwood screen, which is a double din size, with buttons one the side and touchscreen, so nothign folds out, and everything is flush and sweet, and also looks factory when turned off.
i reckon it's the perfect screen for the dc2.

I'm pretty sure i remember seeing BADHBT's integra having the kenwood double DIN monitor, that looks great.

I dont have pics of that on me but theres a thread on this site i think.
Otherwise best would prob be fold out on the bottom din but its a little low and may get in the way with the gear stick as other noted.

the air vents do work as well just had to redirect the piping

its a kenwood DDX7045
its has a built in dvd,mp3,cd etc..etc..
its awsome i love it... tv tunner is optional

beware it aint cheap!!!!!!!!!
