According to these figures HA sold a total of 45,000 units for the period July 2003 - June 2008.
This is an average of 9000 CL9 units per year.

For the period July 2008 to July 2010 a total of 13,694 units were sold. Interestingly, the bulk of the sales were soon after the release of the MY09 model (3943 and 6237 units totaling 10,180)
This is an average of 6,847 CU2 units per year.

Bottom line: According to these figures, Sales are down an average of 23.9% per year for the CU2.

interestign figures, thanks Anthony
I am not suprised, I love my CU2, but I do recall how popular the CL9 was when it first came out - in terms of making a presence, unique design direction and hell even some of my older relatives thought it looked "HOT".

I think the CL9 still looks HOT,but the CU2 even looks hotter.
I was not sure, until I saw them parked together, the newer car is much more aggressive looking.

I think the medium segment has not grown that much locally, and there are a lot of competitors,BUT the Euro is probably the second most popular in the segment, after the dull as dishwater Camry.
