Melted plastic residue on exhaust mid pipe

Hi,

I ran over a large plastic on the way to work which i couldn't avoid it. During the trip i notice a burning smell so i pulled over and check the engine with no luck. When i reached my work car park looked under the car and saw a small plastic hanging off with the residue being burnt off and its on the mid pipe exhaust area :thumbdwn:. How do i get this residue off the exhaust pipe?

Depends if you want take off your exhaust. You could try and take it off, heat it up with a hairdryer and scrape it off. Or I guess the same could be done if you waned to crawl underneath your car. :D
