Hey boys and girls... i want to build a false floor to mount my amp in my ek hatch. Basically i wanna replace the existing floor piece and make my own one but want it fixed in place.

However, i can't seem to find a decent mounting point, like an existing nut/bolt that i can fix the false floor to. Besides the bolt which holds the rear seat in place (i think that's wot it does) that sits in the gap at the base of the rear seat (wen looking from the boot), there is no other bolt in site.

Was wondering if anyone has done this before... and if so how did u guys go about doing this? Can any of the pro installers gimme sum tips?

And i don't want to mount it on the back of the seats. ;) Thanks.

i made a wood frame that just squeezes in, and when the seats go back it holds it all in place, when the ply on the top follows the contours of the boot its very tight didnt even need to bolt it down, plus i also wanna get to the spare wheel
But im no pro
:(
heheh
ill get some pics up hard to explain

This is the install I had in my EG hatch a while ago. I just cut a piece of mdf to the shape of the original piece in the car and covered it in vynal.

As you can see here its a mess sorry this is the only pic of the base i have, i worked off this base, then i applied ply wood to the shape of the boot on the top, and the bootom to give the amps a floor.
Its doesnt move at all its not fixed to the boot at all.
I also made wing sides so it supports the ply all the way around but this pic gives you more of an idea

im just finishing the boot now so ill get up some other pics soon,

Didnt bolt the base fram down at all, and yes applied the ply to the top and then carpeted the ply sorry theres a bit more work underneath but here is it half done...

in the box at the top are the inveters and cables for neons

the carpet is just placed at the mo
