wot exactly is vtec and wot does it do

my v6 6th gen accord has vtec on the engine cover,can someone please explain wot it is and wot it does.
also wot is a good zorst option for my car.nothing wild but more mild.

You might have to go custom, as I doubt there are off-the-shelf units for your particular Accord here in Australia.
