My 93 civic hatch was running fine, all of sudden, it starts to stall on neutral, revs couldn't keep up, oil light came on when stalls and my speedo ain't working too.
I have to keep the revs up to avoid stalling.
I tried installing new plugs, no help, someone please help?

you didn't do anything to it did you? just check the battery earths incase you've got corrosion. Give them abit of a clean that might help.

Thanks for the input guys, however I don't think these are related to my problem. I found this thread, which I believe is very similar to the problem I have now.

From ECU-MAN
is it the dual carby or single carby ?
dash pot could be not working on the mono carby, Idle set to low !!!.
if its a GL it should be a dual carby job. these mofos still have the old EACV valve and an ECU. ( see DIY EACV clean ) so it could be that, some times the pistons in the dual carbs seize up and it will make the engine run like crap as well as idle crap.
what's the distributor cap and rotor button like ( there just as important as the leads and plugs )
when it idling right unplug the eacv valve and take it for a drive and see if it is better. if it is better , clean or replace the EACV valve.
note this will put a code in the ecu so u will need to reset it.
good luck

It is a little box shaped sensor... usually black... it will probably have Denso written on it..
Sits on the throttlebody of your car (i think.. not sure which EG u have but they are all relitevly the same)

Mugga, you got an efi or dual carb, did you gap your plugs to 1mm,

I got dual carb, about the plug what do you mean by gap?

the electrode part of the spark plug must be gapped to 1 to 1.1mm,
the little gap a the end of the plug. it sounds alot like the eacv is your problem, try disconnecting it to see if it helps.

Oh the plugs had rings on them, which is about 1mm thick, I guess that is the gapping your talking about?
How do I reset ECU if EACV is at fault?

no i think he means the gap of the actual plug. Between the arm of the plug and the middle point.
To reset basically unplug you battery for 10 mins or so and reconenct. There is a real technical way its in the forums somewhere do a search.

Ok, I had a look in the morning, found something has Denso written on it, is that thing the IACV?
