My mate is looking at a 99 model EM1, the seats are retrimmed in red and black suede ( red outer and black inner) and centre glovebox thingy is retrimmed in red. He said that it was oem and came factory from honda. Is this true? Looks custom retrimmed to me

Definitely not OEM, if it was Honda would have done the door inserts in the same trim yeh? If he's lying to you about that, what else is he lying to you about...?

you could be right tthere - the Hond Dealerships I used to work at would occasionally have (for example) a Civic Hybrid re-trimmed in Leather.. man it looked so good and factory-spec quality.. but this doesnt make them OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).

Personally, this re-trim decreases the value of the car - i'd prefer a stock interior trim or at least a re-trim that matches the rest of the interior ;)
