Hi, I just got some 2nd hand EG6 rear hubs and brakes. Im going to put them on my Eg4 as its still running drums on the rear. But I noticed that one of the bushings is pretty worn out and tore. According to the haynes manual its called a Compensator arm bushing. Its still holding its place but its pretty corroded.

Basically is it ok to run or should I get a new one. And can you just buy the bushings on its know? Where can I get some? Ill try get a pic online tomorrow.

Thanks

get it from honda.

or go for aftermarket bushings, try jdmyard im sure they have some.

yes you can still use it, but if you put new ones in itll obviously be abit more stable.

most of your bushings on a 20 year old car may be abit worn or corroded and so on!

good luck.

Cheers for that... Yeah id thought they be a bit worn but these were more then I thought haha. Ill have a look around... Do they just push out? Need a hydraulic push I take it.

you would need a hydraluic press to press them out.

might as well get a used one that is in better condition. bushes alone would cost maybe $50, then if you dont have a press, gotta pay workshop to press out/in bushes.
that labour cost maybe another $50 at least.

oh, ek and eg compensator arms are the same.

if you need OEM part number, its 52385-S21-003. civic & integra '94-'01
dont get bushings with this part number (52385-SR3-000) as it is superseded by (52385-S21-003).

don't buy 52385-SK7-N02 (only for integra '90-'93). bigger size.

or if you prefer aftermarket such as pedders? personally, they look shit though. haha.

i order them from US honda dealers, look em up on google and make sure they ship worldwide.
usually, they cost abt half (inc. int'l shipping) of what AU honda dealer wants.
but some are about the same, so best to call up your local dealer and get pricing to gauge whether its worth getting from US or not.

Yeah I found that... Ordered some Skunk2 LCA's from the US.. Cheaper then I could get some 2nd hand eg5 ones locally.... Thanks for that will try source some.
