Does 99-00 boot spoiler fit 96-98?

Hi guys,

Bit of a noob question here lol - just wondering if a 99-00 boot spoiler will fit a 96-98? Think it will, but just wanted to see if anyone knew 100% for sure?

It's not directly fit. You need to drill to fit.

It direct bolt on if the boot original had holes.

If not the underside of the boot has markings for where to drill the holes.

But in otherwise they are interchangeable.

i was just throwing around the idea of having a spare one on hand depending where i drive/park the car... would love to have an EK4 one lol, but they're pretty rare these days. This is a pic from a guy selling his Civic Ferio Si in Texas for $US11k... rims don't do it for me... look like they're almost too small for the car... but love the wing :)

yeh it is a little high huh;

but yeh, the EK4 rims look ok - still not convinced tho - prefer the EM1s (only cause i got em i think lol; but like how he's got the red 'H' centre caps :) .... and just noticed a sunroof on a sedan as well!

Did they come from the factory like that? Never seen that before on sedans... coupes yes, but not sedans...

Had a look at a few pics on net with EK4 wings on pre-facelift and I think they're too high and just look a bit ridiculous... I think the one like yours looks pretty sweet :)

... and just one more question guys (maybe Mugen Civic or Tai might know) - do you know if the coupe spoiler fits on an EK boot?

I'd assume it would because the Mugen spoiler fits both, but not 100% sure... tried searching the net but couldn't find anyone who had done it?

But I have seen someone purchase a Mugen ferio wing and put it on the EM1/EJ8 before in the US.

Well, that's the million dollar question i guess - this is pretty much the only example I could find on the net (I did a photoshop on my car but looked like a dogs breakfast lol)

It doesn't look "tooo" bad - I think it suits more of the sharper tail light design of the 99-00 - but i think it's passable.. what you think?

FINAL ANSWER to this thread is: YES. The 99-00 sedan spoiler will fit on the 96-98 sedan.

Yes the mounting holes are the same. I have a 00 ex coupe and i went to the lower 96-98 spoiler. I was able to bolt the spoiler on easily the only thing i had to modify is the wiring for the led in it. The wiring for the led is the same but they are on opposite sides. I just ran the wiring so it was on the correct side.

yeh i think so man - I was looking at second hand ones but I found out the Honda part number and Googled it and found the below OEM parts site: it has up to 85% off on some genuine Honda items!

Waiting to hear back if they ship to Australia but if they do that wing is now US$99 down from US$499! Can't even get them second hand for $99! I wonder how much shipping is tho lol...

Ok I've thought about it a bit more and i've decided I will try and get a 99-00 EK mid-wing. They are a discontinued item, but I'm looking to get a genuine Honda one from the US at a special wholesale price of US$99. Normally they retailed for $499+ from Honda! So like a $400 saving and cheaper than an aftermarket as well :)

This is a photoshop image of what it could look like - just ignore the colour it's a little off because i eye dropped in Photoshop to match the wing but you get the idea... what do you think?

Yeh man, I already gave that a go and she wasn't willing to just part with the spoiler and then wanted to do some dodgy shipping arrangement without a tracking number so not worth it... plus if i can get a brand spanker from the US for about the same money...?

only thing is it will come in tafetta white, so a little more yellow than the frost white... but not too worried atm about that
