You have two choices. Fill it up with an octane booster to get the RON up or, you can drive around a little bit with the tank and then fill it up with 98 RON. no point putting in 95 when you put in 90, you'll end up with 93 which again is quite low..

You might get some pinging due to the low RON.

Also power steering in euros can be stiff if you're coming from older model cars. What year model is your Euro and is it a CL9 or CU2 (newest model)

It shouldn't be that stiff. What model year is your car? If you bought it 2nd hand, the accessory belt might be stretched and being too loose does not run the power steering pump. Check the markings on the belt auto tensioner, the triangle should point in between of the big and small rectangle when the engine is running.

How full is it now? If it is 3/4 full, just fill it up now with 98 octane. That will result with about 93 octane and the engine's knock sensor should do the rest by supplying more fuel to prevent knocking. Don't need to wait til it is empty. Then after that you can just fill with 95 octane. Again, there is no need to empty the tank because even 93 octane is better than 91 octane!

Just behind and below the power steering pulley is a small black solid pulley. That is connected to the silver auto tensioner body. Look at that auto tensioner body and you will see a short rectangle and a tall rectangle. There is a triangle that points to the two rectangles. The triangle should be pointing to the middle of the two rectangles.

Since your fuel tank is just below half, fill it up to the top with 98 octane and you will get about 95 octane in the mixture which is about right for the Euro.
