Hey ppl, I'm looking for a nice custom sub box that nestles in the back corner of my DC5 boot. Does anyone know where you can get these or who can make them? Really want a sub but I use my boot quite a bit so I want a nice practical setup

This picture is a pretty good example, i want mine for a 10inch sub and have my amp under the drivers seat

I know for wrx's and commodores ect you can buy custom boxes from a guy on ebay but he doesn't make them for dc5 unfortunately, but i've seen them, and I want one!

ps anyone know someone in hills area sydney who can do audio installs for cash+beer?

xtreme car audio in blacktown are horrible. they are ****d. they are nothing but rip offs and wont help u out if something goes wrong. Go to Lifestyle Car/Home Audio. 2 Windsor Road North Parramatta they will HELP you and work shit out trust me. seriously xtreme car audio are ****d ... they are MASSIVELY OVERPRICED and he will make out like ur doing a good deal but he comes out ontop by 1000% and it wont be 150 + from xtreme car, try 400+ just putting it out there too man, as much as u want custom your going to sacrifice quality for looks / boot space your aware of that ?

yesh the whole reason I want that kind of sub box is to save space.. I think those corner fit sub boxes are sweet, just for a single 10inch..

has anyone got one of those slimline sub boxes under the passenger seat? they look good, but i've never heard one in action...

being quite honest i think ur better off just making a slim line box to suit the sub that way u could wack it against the back seat in the boot.. would sound better its a DIY and still have shit loads of room with abit of look to go with ! not worth spending the bucks man imo. unless ur seriouslyy stuffed for room everyday in the boot !

for the box alone, something fabricated like that will cost alot more than $150.. more like at least a few hundred, could be more depending on the finishing you want (painted/vinyl/carpeted/etc)

not sure how far away FHRX is from you but i wouldnt visit anyone else.

such a nice box though.. something similar to that almost looks like it's factory optioned (aslong as the amp is hidden) i'd like mine a little smaller and for a 10inch rather than 12

i'd fork out $300 for that box deffinately.. I'll give thiese fhrx guys a call cheers mate

it is tempting isnt it, but performance in a box like that isnt as good as a solid MDF box. but if room is what ur after then what ur doing is best for you !
