HELP: Wanting to upgrade current system!!

I would like to know what ppl opinions are on the following model of speakers two ranges 6x9's and splits.

The 6x9's are Infinity reference range model: 6953i 6X9 3-way

The splits are same range but model number is 605CS 6.5".

Looking for an upgrade from the sony splits and pioneer 6x9's, I have a 4 channel amp that is capable of 90wrms per channel at 4ohm's. Also looking to upgrade my sub i have jl audio 12W1V4 http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/tt65/ERA-71K/DSC00195copy.jpg Would like to go something tighter, cleaner and louder i can run 300WRMS × 1 Into 4 Ohms & 400WRMS × 1 Into 2 Ohms. I will be keeping the jl audio box very well designed box 1.25 cu. ft. / 35.4 liters measurements of the box are roughly 30-40cm h by abt 50 wide and 50long I thinks it actually bigger then 1.25cub.ft and its slot ported. Would like something that will work well with this box and amp.

Opinions would be much appreciated. I found a package on ebay for 285 shipped for the Infinity speakers.

im if i was u id get 6.5inch for the rear compared to 6x9s as u already have a sub. 6.5inch are sooooo much clearer then 6x9s but its up 2 u. for subs i have 2 of these http://www.pioneer.com.au/Products/Car%20Entertainment/Subwoofers/TS-W308D2.aspx awesome subs i hit 137db with 2 of those off a 820watt rm. ive seen them at doran pro audio for 124each.

as for the sub.. hard to be brand/model specific without a budget but given the power available & box requirements id shortlist IDQ's, boston G3/G5, Crescendo, Morel Ultimo SC, Focal, JL (W3), among others

Opinion on price or what they sound like?

What they sound like is entirely up to you. You either like them or you don't.

If it comes down to price and not what they sound like then you're better off shopping around yourself.

Put it this way I hate the sound of Sony's and my pioneers too much treble even with a lot of tunning. After better sound quality but keeping in mind that I don't to spend a fortune herd fli's to tony brother has then not the best quality my Sony's are built better. My 6 x 9 's can't handle a lot power. When I get a chance I will put the specs of the 4 channel amp in its a Panasonic digital amp.

do yourself a favour and go to a place where you can actually audition and judge the sound in person. would hate for you to buy something online, purely because its cheap and without listening to it then end up hating it, replacing it & spending more in the long run.

a lot of specialists have clearance sales on atm so no reason not to visit one but hey its your choice & money

Herd them sound really really good will be getting them plus another set for the misses. Just edited the the size if the box. I still need to upgrade my sub been told that I should go a vibe blackair but I'm sure that there is better out there that doesn't cost as much as a black air. I would prefer to run the mono at 4ohm wich mean I have 300wrms to play with.

Need more help regarding sub options been told to soundstream picaso. Not a big fan of soundstream. Are earthquake subs still around?

first you need a budget, then with that budget in mind you go shopping. you either stick to the budget or stretch it if you find something that you like which is more expensive.

anyone can give an opinion on speakers, but that opinion is there personal opinion and not what you might like.

go out and start with deck, amps and speakers then ask the store to drop their demo box in your car and see what the sub does for you in your car not their show room.

Ye look i have amps etc. Current amps are staying. Going with the infinity reference rang speakers are done. The vibe stuff is overpriced i just found an ECLIPSE SW6210 12" SUBWOOFER 500 RMS SW-6210 CAR SUB for $230 shipped I have herd the eclipse stuff and the sound is a lot nicer then my current jl and clearer then the vibe.

i think of em as one of many companys that have recently sadly closed down because people dont support the local industry. eventually, all we'll be able to buy is the cheap mass marketed crap from jb, strathy, autobarn, etc.

other than that, theyre decent if thats what you wanna hear.. that is all.
