Hi guys,
I have done a search but no answer found
Would simply like to know whether JDM B16A rubber intake arm is shorter then JDM B18CR intake arm?
As I am trying to fit a DC2 airbox into my EG with B16A but my intake arm is too long, so i need an intake arm which is about 1-1.5inches shorter
Thanks for any input

looking at them both, you would think that they are different because the DC2 air box is not mounted in the same place as an EG. you could give it a go though, might just work for you. but most guys either run a complete EG6 air intake or DC2R air intake.
any reason why you want to use the EG6 intake arm instead or the DC2R arm?

B16a2 (EK4) intake arm is definitely shorter than B18cr
I've got one fs if you want to try it on

riruiz_88 - im not sure which intake arm i have on my car, ijust know its too long lol
dorikin - u have PM
totally different arms
Take pics of your arm to see what it is.
You may of mounted the airbox too close.
EGs cant have teh DC2 air box bolt up directly.
You need the dc2 airbox bracket and to pivot in a thread to hold on of the other brackts of the airbox.

ok guys, looks like i have a DC2R intake arm currently fitted, so i am looking for a eg6 or ek4 intake arm
You can use DC2R intake arm and airbox with B16a.
you either are not intalling the position correctly or you have the wrong arm.

the dc2r intake arm is larger in diameter than a b16a one
you need new clamps too to fit to a b16a tb
dc2r is longer too

would changing the arm and air box from ek to dc change the power and torque band dramatically? and enough to make a worthy upgrade?

Try using a DC4 GSi Intake Arm.
It will obviously bolt up to the DC2 airbox & B16A 60mm TB.
It should be able to position your DC2 airbox nicely in your EG engine bay.
Just have to find a way to secure the airbox & make a cold-air feed for it.

well i realised i was using a DC2R arm, which is longer the EG6/EK4 arm, but i was too lazy to go buy another arm
so i squeezed in the box, just clearing the radiator overflow bottle, job would have been alot easier with a EG6/EK4 arm
