ever painted stock vti-r wheels black?

hey all,

was wondering if anybody has pics of the stock (fat 5 spoke) vti-r wheels painted black... preferably real, but photoshopped will suffice.

currently have some black wheels on my car which might be going to a new home, and am considering painting my stockies black when this happens..

Yes, I was very close to doing mine till I moved them on.

They look great in a gunmetal grey or even bronze.

anyway back on topic those fat5s look nice.. the gunmetal grey ones especially... is that your car jone? if so what did you use to spray them?

I was thinkin bout going white on mine... i saw it once on a white delsol.. white fat5s with the *H* painted red ... or replaced

That gunmetal 5 spoka looks sweet! Is that the same as the colour of the stock type-R rims or different. I am getting miy rims sprayed in the type r colur but i dont have a close up shot of one of those rims.

Can someone post a pic if they have one?

zelda I have NFI what was used to paint these wheels mate.

There is a DIY Article on T-I. Looks pretty much the same as the gunmetal above. Aircraft Stripper, sandpaper, Paint and Primer needed.

can i just add that i highly advise u do it indoors? as in like inside a garage or shed. U do not want the wind blowing, it fks up the spray from the can

it is an insulting quote mate :)well if ur azn then u should know its true. the majority of mum's driving 4wds are a health hazard to everyone including YOU.
They are small and if they can't see over the dash board, how are they gonna reverse properly if they can't see over the back seats.???(eg. how the hell do u reverse into a bright RED car with BRIGHT white wheels and drive off not knowing???)
Its just a fact that you can't hide mate.

The problem with generalising your own race/religion/gender/etc is that you put the generalisation out there and re-confirm it. This paints a picture that generalising is alright. Not all Asian women are bad drivers, so you shouldnt stereotype them.

the fat fives i got have got scratches on them. should i just piant over it or is there something that can be done to remove it, any ideas?

well i got a set of fat fives aswell and the clear coat is coming off and i got quoted 100 bux for each rim to get re done,
but i was looking at sanding it down lightly and jus spraying dem and see how it goes..
if it doesnt work out just get them powdercoated..
