Im looking to buy my first car, and have looked at quite a few Honda civics

How much should I be looking to spend on a 1999-2000 Honda Civic EK CXi hatchback with under 100000kms? What things should I look out for? Im in Sydney if that makes any difference

thanks in advance

if I wanted to know what sort of price I should be looking to pay for ones OVER 100000kms I would have asked that originally.

Can anyone else give me a ballpark figure on what I should be paying for an EK CXi with <100000kms (providing it has been regurlarly service, paint is good, etc)

people generally put them up for around 8k..even though they probably aren't really worth that.
under 100000kms isn't easy to find but worth the effort
good luck

also, if you can find a GLi within your price range and kms i'd take that over a CXi, personally

I got my 1999 CXi with 100,000km for 6.5k and was in great nick. Only problem with GLi model is the power windows. Think it was the motor for the windows but yeah its a general problem with GLis.

just as an example, what would someone offer the owner for this car?

for 100k ish thats hard to find for a ek ?

just try finding a ek 150k 's or so . typikool for them around there. dont buy around 200k markk.

should be 4-6k on a EK CXI stock or a bit done up .

i wouldnt pay more then 6k for a CXI as its non power windows .

UNDER 100k? lol

You're dreaming. Except to be paying close to 9k.

With 9k mightaswell get ek4 or eg b16a.

Well i'm guessing his main concern is reliability rather than performance as he's after an ek1 with under 100000kms, specifically.
but i do agree. if i was going to fork out 9k, might aswell save another 2k or so and get a decent ek4/em1
