Hi, does anyone know the actual compression number for a healthy dc5r engine or a number range that's reasonable. Sorry if this has been covered but I have searched and found nothing. Thanks guys!

Hey sangyz, when i got mine done it was 175 at all four corners. From what i remember? was awhile since i got it done. My mate in his dc2r was getting 200+ on all four sides but each side was a different number but within that 5 - 10%. Im not 100% on the exact figure of the DC5R, but mine was all the same so i was happy with that.

Oh okay. So you got 175 for your dc5r yeah? How old was your car? How many ks roughly? I wanna compression test my mates car to see if its in good nick.

Yeah im pretty sure it was 175.. somewhere near that figure but was all the same at all four ends. Mines a 02 model. done it march last year when it was 85,000. You should, gives u a good idea on how healthy the engine is.

It should be well above 200+ all 4 cylinders.

a compression tester will set u back bout 80 bux from supercheap

Oh cheers guys. If its under 200? Car has done 170k on cluster..

It should be well above 200+ all 4 cylinders.

Really? hmm should get it done again to see how it is now.

dc5r should be getting well over 200... 220+ .. if you are getting 175.. you should get a few things checked out like your pistons might be warn? rocker cover seals replaced recently and wasnt sealed properly or the o rings on the rocker cover? ? i dunno but should get things checked out if its under 200..

Yeah thats true. but since then the car has been really healthy. see how it goes.. will get it checked out again

So your cars been running good with the 175psi ey AsHw3e? No problems ever since?
