So, the Y4 is getting close to the stage that it needs to be rebuilt. So rather than rebuild it, i was going to look around for a D16Y8. This will be an easy swap, as the cars already got the same engine mounts, gearbox, everything will line up. However there's the old EK1 wiring, but no matter ill just get an edge auto conversion harness & run a chipped OBD1 ecu.

Any one out there have some indication as to how much id be looking at for a complete Y8 motor, with all sensors, manifolds, & plugs but no gearbox?! My other option would be a B18B2 but that may involve a bit more money....

y8 you'd be looking at anywhere between $200-$600 generally but it's all dependent on condition and who you get it from

anymore than $900 is a bit rich unless it's rocking alot of work done (new clutch, flywheel, gaskets changed, new rear main seal, etc)

Id be on a d16 forum for more info in terms of wiring you'll need, good diagrams, etc
