I have 18's, I don't have Eibach springs... However, I highly recommend you spend the extra money to get buddyclub n+ coilovers for their adjustability in height and damping, and also their ability to transform how your car drives. Even if you don't want to get them, you can still have a look at my car sitting at two different heights.
The first one, is when I got it lowered the first time, but it was a little too low for me....

so I got it lifted to where it is now....

Nice wheels npcan2, always loved the fn2r wheels!
This is my euro with Eibach springs:
Thanks man!
Your car looks really aggressive with the kit, wheels and springs! Is that just the standard lipkit?
I need a lipkit bad!!!! I'm thinking the euro-r kit would look nice with my wheels..
Back on topic, do you have any scraping issues at your height? it looks like it's legal ...
cl9ftw
02-09-2010, 11:30 PM
kimm, does your euro still look high without the lip kit?, coz i see that u have a lip kit, how does it look without the lipkit?, looks awsome tho.. coz i just want my wheels to cover the arches

I can't tell you exactly how much it was lowered by, but at the lowest point on the car, I was about 7cm off the ground. The bodykit was about 11cm off the ground, but the underside of the car hangs a bit low.
I used to scrape on steep inclinations, such as petrol station entries.. I once scraped on a one way speed bump (the spikey ones), and i heard the undercarriage get scraped up badly. It didn't do any damage, but it pi**ed me off.
The buddyclubs are amazing! They make the car feel stable and solid... I highly recommend them!

Thanks buddy! Yeah that's just the standard lip kit. Was looking for euro-r lip kit (have the euro-r grill) which looks mean but its so hard to source without spending what i think is ridiculous money for a lip kit. Managed to find an OEM lip kit here which was a bit of a relief :D
Yeah it scrapes a little on driveways that are a little steep and doesn't clear most curbs so i gotta watch out. Without the lip kit it hasn't scraped on anything afaik, maybe the little wind deflectors that are in front of the wheels but not the bumper.
Yeah, it looks a bit higher without the lip kit, i will take a photo when the weather is good because i have the lip kit off atm just to give the car a good clean now that water restrictions have lifted.
I love the first drop npcan2, looks really aggressive with those wheels and drop even without a kit, but still subtle at the same time. Those fn2r wheels are so hot this side of concave TE37's :D The 2nd drop height looks great too, definitely more practical, i'd probably prefer that as i would rather not have to worry about every driveway or speed hump :D

If you don't mind me asking (PM me if you don't want to state it here), how much and where did you get your lip kit from? I'm thinking of getting the OEM sides are rear lips + euro-r front lip+grille... maybe save on cost a little?
kimnkk
02-09-2010, 11:54 PM
Yeah i got the lip kit off here and the grille from Heeltoeauto.com in america. The grill was pretty alright, i think that was $280pp or so, i can't remember but i know there was a price hike just before i bought it and i think one after i bought it, beats me why the price increased twice!
The lip kit i think Honda still stock here but its a bit pricey at $1700 without paint or primer. Maybe u can get a better price, i'm not sure if that was a good price or average.

heres mine, using Tanabe. about 2" left in them.
once i fit the camber/bump steer kits i will take them to there lowest.
rims are 18x8.5+38, guards are only slightly rolled, never scrubs.
genuine Euro R lips too, front lip height from center of bumper to ground is 120mm.
is guess the total drop is around 6 inches from stock

**** dude, don't want to sound like a prick, but that thing is in the clouds!!! U can remove ya helpers springs to lower it another inch or so but I doubt that will be enough! The coilovers you have must be more track suited and serve a purpose of handling unlike my china BC which just put your shitr in the weeds!
If your happy wid it then leave it, if not sell ya coilies and buy some that actually lower ya car hahaha!

white_ep3_civic, if you want to go lower, dont go cheap unknown brands. Buddyclub N+ or Tein Flex are what i would personally go for. If you're happy with the current setup then leave it. Looks good atm, but hard to tell from the incline parked position.

Let it set in a bit. After some time mine set in a tad lower. Some people suggest removing one of the locking rings/perch in the rears IF your already on lowest setting, just to get a a bit more low.
Neesmo31
07-09-2010, 06:32 AM
Didnt he say that they are Tein SS's? Good coilover, but if thats the lowest on those wheels then perhaps buddyclub will get you that look your chasing (if you want hellaflush lowered lol) But other than that nice ride!
The ride height in my buddyclubs are set with the springs just slightly locked up so they dont float in the hangars. I reckon if you squished them up, dumped it as low as it will go, then tried to drive off it wouldnt because the wheels wouldnt be touching the road lol.
Everyone - nice cars though :)

hahahahaha ok so maybe i do sound like prick, but hey, this is the forums! if u cant take critisium then get the f*ck off them!!!!
There is no doubt that tein ss are great coilivers but for that aplication i dont think there the correct part for the job! If you running 20inch rims then u not building a track car, u want more show/cruse so a cheaper coilover with a lower ride height is more suited!!!
white_ep3_civic is if makes u feel any better i think my car is in the clouds too and looks gay with the shit boot spoiler i have!!!

There is a small spring that sits above ya main spring to keep it captive when on lowest setting! If u remove em it don't effect shit, u just removing steel that stops it goin down more! Cheap coilovers don't even have em so get rid of em asap and slam ya 20s inside ya gaurd!

Hey guys, I'm thinking of lowering my 05' lux euro soon.. (since tax I have a lot of upgrades in mind :D ) .. I'm hoping for something like these.. but I'm clueless what the best option is.. I want it done properly, no backyard style stuff. Is it better to change springs? or just shocks? Or both?
These are sort of what I want.. > http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/148/dsc01505op.jpg/sr=1

Hey mate, just curious. What size wheels are those? 17's or 18's? Cos i'm going to be leaving my stock Euro-R style 17's on and just don't want wheels to have a huge gap with the body on them but yours sits nice!
PplaterEuro
13-11-2012, 01:44 PM
Heres how it sits now man! I lowered it a smidge more, to as low as possible (I literally went into uni at 1am, parked over a speedbump and wound my coils down until the clear by 1mm....) so its now sitting like:
http://sphotos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/18506_308888022558321_1755402449_n.jpg
http://sphotos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/422997_308887985891658_1247155458_n.jpg
http://sphotos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/534510_308888075891649_1085863313_n.jpg
And as for the specs of this setup, Its just:
DGR coilovers, pretty much maxed in the rears (another 2 cm thread on the coils left) the fronts I can go heaps lower (I can lay frame but thats silly..)
no caster/camber/toe rods, all stock camber (sits at about -3 degrees camber in the rear, straight up and down in the front)
As for rims, they are 17 x 8 +35 fronts and 17 x 9 + 38 rears, wrapped all in achillies ATR Sports 215/45 R17's which give stretch in the rear, basically straight up and down in the front.

Damn looks sweet man!! Diggin it!
Right now I can't decide between BC Coilovers or those Silver's NeoMax ones. Tried getting reviews on both but it seems it's limited reviews on the Silvers ones and BC seems to get the pick... I've just read a few things about popping noises with the Silvers and leaking during early km's so I'm a bit put off, as well as the safety side of things.
PplaterEuro
13-11-2012, 02:25 PM
Look into DGR man, mine have held a god deal of punishment already, seem the goods, are solid and well made, cost me $900 to my door rather than the expected $1500 or whatever else of other ones such as buddyclub and i presume BC aernt far behind!
But yeah man, depending on the stock rims offset, (I know my stock 16's were +55 offset) so when I had them I ran 25mm spacers on the rear giving +30 offset and they ended up looking like this:
http://sphotos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/68782_298840950229695_1114298714_n.jpg
still a ton of no-fill guard but better than what they are. Be careful with the stock rims, its hard to fill guards without HUGE spacers which are REALLY obvious and, I assume its the same for all states, Spacers are defectable.

Are these the same ones you have? They're going for $1099 - http://www.tradekr.com/cbuy_5805429_dgr-accrod-cl9-usa.htm
Which rival the BC ones i'm looking at or the Silvers ones (not sure about Silvers) which are $1200 each.
Yeah I'm pretty sure I might need spacers, but i'll have to look into the offset on the wheels already to try and fill as much as I can, don't want that massive gap lol :P
PplaterEuro
13-11-2012, 04:16 PM
haha yeah those are mine! but if your in AUS, which I assume you are, look for T & R Autostyling, $900 to your door.
And if you take off one of your stockies, they will have the offset printed in the rim on the back somewhere. but they SHOULD be +55, I think all stockies are +55for the Euros.
and if thats the case, you will need +25mm/+30mm in the rear and +5mm in the fronts to space :D but also depends on your tyres, those on my stockies were 205/50's federal 595's so yeah
afgmoh
13-11-2012, 09:25 PM
Just had a look, yeah they're 55 (had a look on the back of the rim) and my tyres are 225/45R17, they're Bob Jane ones forgot which model but they're one of the better ones that are made by Bridgestone i think? Or something like that. Anywho those are the sizes.. haha
How well does yours handle speed bumps? lol
PplaterEuro
13-11-2012, 09:33 PM
At the height above with the stockies on it, didnt even bother try....
At its current height, perfectly. I dont scrape on any speedbumps (clear by 2mm) but on steep gutters (such as tonight...) I scraped from the beginning of my rails behind the front whel to just past the front seats...... wasnt pretty :P But thats the way it goes.
And ok when fitting tyres, I suggest not going less than a 215/45 as a minimum size otherwise rolling diameter will start getting really small and you will go real low real quick :/
afgmoh
15-11-2012, 02:15 PM
After very thorough research I've decided i'll go BC Racing Gold series coilovers haha. Gonna see how they go before I double check to see if spacers are REALLY that necessary :P Also, how did you go about your spacers anyway? You get your installer to chuck them on or did it yourself? Price setback?
PplaterEuro
15-11-2012, 02:33 PM
Nah I install everything myself, did the 4 coilovers, and lowered it in about 3 hours of fiddling. its really not hard, the fronts have 6 bolts, the rears have two, just need a long piece of metal for a leverage bar.
And as for spacers, I stole my mates 25mm Bolt ons, they are about $100 for a pair - get decent quality, dont skimp on these.
And you will want spacers, trust me. +55 offset is seriously sunken into the guards - looks terrible.
afgmoh
15-11-2012, 03:31 PM
Oh okay well then better get some, yeah I won't go cheapy stupid thing to do on such a serious safety aspect, haha might ask the dude to do it whilst he's installing. Would installers generally carry them? Or would I have to go get them myself for him to chuck on? If so, where?
PplaterEuro
16-11-2012, 12:24 PM
Ah SOME installers would carry them, would all depend on who you go to. However, if they dont, places such as drift workshops and garages like that definitley stock them. Up here in QLD Option1 stock good quality ones, but you can also get them off ebay, just look for strong design and a decent seller and they should be fine! And they are super easy to chuck on, literally they just bolt onto your existing wheel studs where your wheel would, and then you oblt the wheel ontop of that like a normal hub so there should be no problems with installation.
