Heyy

l dont really know a whole lot about cars but i got a 2000 Model Integra type r and l need a new muffler as the 1 l currently have is too short so it puts black crap all over the back of my car when l give it abit and it is way too noisy!.
l'm looking for a muffler that has a tip which is going to prevent making a mess on my car and l want something that isn't too loud, but doesnt so like shit either, just something abit in between ?

Thanks!!

maybe you're car is just running rich?

if its too noisy, get another resonator :)

on the other hand, if you're looking for a magnaflow muffler, let me know. (:

Judging from the way you said it i assume the muffler you have on isn't stock atm? do you have a budget on how much you filling to fork out?
if you only want to reduce the smoking part and abit more quiet then as previously mentioned try to pickup a stock dc2r muffler if your looking for more power and an overall better system then possibly look into getting a fujitsubo catback or maybe a mugen twinloop? hope that helps :)

Yeah the current muffler isn't stock, it came with it when l bought the car about 1 month ago, l dont want to spend heaps at the moment as lm saving my cash to put in my stereo!, lm maybe looking to spend probably no more then $200, not including installation.
whats the differences in power from getting a $100 muffler to a $800 muffler??

Does your car have an axleback or catback system?

This will have an effect on how much you need to spend.

Quiet Axle Backs range from $200 - $500 depending on whether you get a stock replacement for dc2r or go to higher end stuff like J's racing muffler etc.
Full exhaust sytems range from again $400 - $1000+ again depending on what sort of system you want to get. from the sounds of things you want to get a stock setup again.
