Chrome Wheels 18” x 6.5” On a EG Hatch anyone?

Soon I'm hoping to get some rim's but my Insurance only goes to 6.5" wide :rolleyes:

So anyone know or seen any 18" 6.5" wheel anyone?

Your insurance wont cover you for 18inch rims either... they are way to big over stock size. Check your policy as how big you can go.

Cops will get you as well if they are too big.

Yeah i think your car is gonna be slowed down heaps also, and your prob gonna rub like crazy. Also i would get another call the NRMA cos i was sure that they told me i could'nt got 2 sizes over my standard rims size last i asked.

By law i think it is maximum 2inches (or 1 not sure) bigger or smaller then what your came out with from the factory. all this information has to be verified by the resident ozhonda legal guru (dont ask me who it is).

There is no way you car will be insured for 18's by a major insurer unless your paying the extra cash. But like that stops anyone.. just dont tell them you got 18's.

unless you're quoting the JDM Civics stock wheel size you can only go 1inch wider which is 6inch not 6.5 (i think all the ausy EG's were 5inch, not sure though) and 2 inches in diameter which is 17.

There's only one rim in that size from my experience, and its ugly.

well when i was with NRMA... they did say you can go to as big dia. as you want, ie. 18' etc. they'll still insure you, but its width can't be more then 6.5inch....

but that was about a year or so ago... insurance isn't the problem... the problem is when it comes to rego, when i had 17's on... i couldn't get a pink slip... cuz wheels was too big blah blah... but i'm sure you can overcome this...

Yeah NRMA said they dont care about hight but only 6.5" wide

i think that 18s come in a minimum width of 7inch man, and thats only a selected few wheels, the average width for 18s on a civic is 7.5 inches...if u got an EG i say go for 17s, 18's too big for an eg man

never seen any for 7.'

maybe you can put stockies on your car when you go and get regoed

There is NO limit to the circumference of the rims i.e 16" 17" 18" but the mag must not be not be wider than 6.5" which limits how big your rims are ne way. I doubt very much you will ever find anything more than 16 x 6.5"

If you want 18's go to Just Car insurance.
