Hey guys sorry if this is a noob question.

I was wondering what is required apart from I/H/E to be able to tune your car for more power with an aftermarket/piggyback ECU? I'm thinking about getting a HONDATA S200 or something of similarity for my DC2 VTi-R.

So do I need to change to different injectors, ignition and things to really notice a difference? Are there more things I should know? and will the HONDATA plug right in?

Also opinions on different ECU's. Pro's and cons?

Thanks :)

Hondata s200 has been discontinued.
You won't need other things to notice gains after ecu has been tuned.
Injectors are definitely unnecessary for an unopened b18c motor.

With the hondata, you will get some pretty decent gains in day to day drivability and
mid range will get good gains too. If you're chasing more top end power, that's where
you'll have to start spending money on longer duration cams, adjustable cam gears etc
in order to alter your powerband to the desired region.

For obd1 systems, you can still get s100 or s300.
All the info you need is on the hondata site, don't be lazy haha
