Hi everyone, thinking about purchasing a Ultra racing 2-point front strut bar for my 09 honda civic sport FD2, just wondering if anyone has a front strut installed on their vehicle and if this add on will actually make a difference?
I have read a couple of forums saying a front strut bar will have little to no effect for the FD's? is it worth purchasing one and will it make a difference?
Link below is the strut bar i am thinking about purchasing....

I haven't experienced first hand myself, but if you look at the geometry of the car I'd say it's pretty useless, you've already got the firewall and front windscreen between the strut towers so it's already stiff. You're better off getting a rear sway bar.

Yeah as benni said, the fronts already pretty stiff. Go for a rear ARB or rear sway bar.

I have the same front bar. Its stiffer and the plastic part below the wipers is starting to pop out on the passenger side. Honda is getting a replacement for me.

@ Shimian, can you feel a significant change in driving? Is it worth purchasing?
As for the plastic part popping out, will it always pop out? or it depends on how you re-install the plastic trimming?
Thanks!

Its stiffer but not worth the money today. I bought it really cheap back then, i think about $100 brand new. These days its about double.
Ill be taking it to Honda soon as this is an ongoing issue. I dont think its related to the strut but when you do install it, you need to take out a piece under the hood.

As the others have said front strut bars won't improve handling much. But get one for the looks anyway ;)

I had coilovers on the car and it worked pretty well.. The brand's STD(Don't laugh lol).. Just google it.. It's still quite new but it's quickly achieving a reputation in the market.. It's adjustables but the difference with this suspension is that even if you lower your car, the springs still maintain 100% movement. Just my opinion if you were looking into handling :)
