Hey all,

Im expecting my set of FN2R rims to arrive within the next few days, and they'll be going on my DC5R. I'll need to buy tyres for them first, and wanted to know what people would recommend in terms of tyre width? Factory size on the FN2R's is 235 I believe (correct me if im wrong), However I was thinking of stretching something a little smaller on them....

Its hard to make up my mind as ive never seen a DC5R with FN2R rims to get ideas from (which is why I wanted to do it). Any advice to get the perfect fitment? I was also considering painting them Championship White (my DC5R is Arctic Blue Pearl)...

Any advice would be great. Cheers.

I dont know about the tyre size, but I can give you an opinion on FN2R rims on DC5 =). I believe the reason why you dont see DC5R's rolling on FN2R rims is because the offset (+55) of the FN2R rims would, putting it bluntly look quite terrible or "weaksauce" as some would say lol. You could make them fit flush with the use of spacers but I personally have never been a fan of spacers, even hub centric ones..... if it were me I'd rather get good offset from the start imo.

If you're not worried about handling and performance, but if its just for looks , but to be honest they are f***n heavy which is why i switched over to lightweight rims which made a big difference.

factory size is 225/40

Well the reason that I wanted them was because they looked more aggressive than the OEM DC5R ones while maintaining that OEM look (sleeper :p). Are they much heaver than OEM DC5R rims? I think if i can get the fitment right theyll look great, especially in Championship White. Has anyone got a photo of a DC5R with FN2R rims? And is the performance drop that significant? I wouldve thought the wider tread would improve grip?

Agree with r3ckless, JDM DC5R rim offset is worse as they are 60+ offset . Its a pity cause the rims themselves look very nice I reckon, looks similar to work emotion CR KAI rims

If your looking at getting the jdm dc5r wheels, u should get the jdm brembo brake setup, cos their hubs are pushed out 15mm, which makes it look like the stock setup...

I think the JDM DC5R wheels are too small, thats why i like the FN2R ones. And what do people think about stretching say 205s over them?? If i plan on using the hub centric spacers
