Hey look what I just found- and the company is in Australia! :D

I will email them to find out how much - I reckon these would look good! I would like them even better if they didn't have words on them - just plain steel sills would look best IMO.

Haven't heard from them yet. I also phoned them and it goes to answering machine (which has no memory left to leave a message). I guess a lot of small businesses are shut until next week.

Guaging by similar products on their web site they will be around $200. Maybe a group buy is possible (not sure if Ozhonda discourages this).

Burg Design have actually released the price for those door sills...

Its $155.00...

Contenplating to buy them or not now... Would bling out my euro even more...

Ebay is selling some for the US accord, I'm pretty sure it will fit on our euro's coz its just stuck onto the original sill with self adhesive tape...

http://69.36.72.119/pictures/2/DSC02832.JPG

Its only $US $29.00 buy it now...

I was wondering if the stainless door sills off the wide body accord would fit on the euro - I cant seem to get an answer off honda as to whether they will or not. Any one out there who could answer me would be appreciated Thanx.

are you sure those stainless steel sills will fit perfectly on a euro? On the euro, the existing plastic ones have 4 ribs all the way down, but the ones in the picture seem as if the existing plastic sills are totally flat...

and also, there are only 3 ribs in the one in the picture... so do you guys think it will fit?

even better, can someone with a wide-body V6 Accord measure their sills?:o

The chrome look will scuff to easily in my opinion.... would be nicer if it was in brush steel. would look classier too.

I bought and fitted a set of these from Burg Design in June last year, they cost me $160 delivered(Brisbane). They fit perfectly and i have not had a scuff mark on them .
They really do look a lot classier than the crap plastic ones. They have more a brushed look than the chrome finish in the above pictures.Absolutely first class quality look and manufacture. You wouldnt be sorry if you bought them i'm sure.
Just make sure you clean the plastic as they suggest so the S/steel ones will adhere properly.Ive had no probs with mine.

I fitted a set of the Burg Design sills today. The finish is quite good, although the pressings aren't perfect, particularly for the rear panels, where there's a fair bit of curvature. Nevertheless, they seem to have fitted okay (they come with double-sided tape and adhere directly to the stock plastic sills).

It's more of a "why drive a $60,000 BMW when a $12000 Daewoo can serve the same purpose?"

BTW, if you coat the toothbrush with a tooth-friendly sweetener like isomalt, you can get kids to enjoy brushing their teeth. Same reason why they make watermelon/strawberry/orange/grape-flavoured toothpastes for kids.

To the owner, it is also visible. You should look at it this way. If you say a $60,000 BMW is visible, then this $160 piece of wankery only needs to be 0.27% as visible in order to earn its $160 asking price. :)

Off the topic of wankery, check this out:

http://www.burgdesign.com.au/catalogue/product_info.php?cPath=55_59&products_id=1204

The metal door sills, with Electro-luminescent lit 'Accord'. Only thing is its for the Accord, and doesn't specify if it will fit the Euro (Sure it will fit though). But it's down to $69 too which i think is worthwhile, wankery or not! :p

No, given that it's a "high traffic" area, it stops you (or more often, others) from scratching the paint in the "doorway". Some people (like children and the elderly, in my experience) tend to step there. Things get dropped by accident. Women wear high heels that can catch...

Stainless steel doesn't stractch like plastic.

Women can't tell the Integra, Euro, or Civic apart from each other.

Well there's a generalisation for you. Many men can't either. Who cares? Not everybody's a car nerd (or has any interest in cars other than the fact that they use them for transport) and can recognise different makes and models from any manufacturer.

2. Mugen Fuel Cap in Chrome. Nuff said. Looks tuff as.
3. Engine Cover. ( no just a stock one. I lost mine down the gap in the couch)
4. Milo Tin (TM) Exhaust tips
5. Many and various stickers for front quarter of car. Extra Jap text is +1 in coolness.
6. Cool blue triangle for bonnet. I think it means "warning, Vtec PoWa within.":zip:
7. 22 inch chromies with rolled guards. Booochata!
8. Used fluffy dice from a VN. You know.

Wooo woooo....

I got mine yesterday. Reach home and saw a long package on the table. They courrier it and my flatmate collected it for me. Open it up and check it out... looks good. Comes with a small tube of bonding stuffs, some instruction, a catalog and 2 pens.

Probably will only install it next year.

The small tube is a cleaner that you use on the plastic so that the sticky tape can stick on properly.

yeah it's a bit unfortunate that the back doesn't sit perfect with the black plastic sill that is currently there.

has anyone tried to install these at < 18 degrees temp as per instructions not to? Is it really that big a deal?

I have just got mine and have not had a chance to put them on today as the weather has turned a bit cool

I have just got mine and have not had a chance to put them on today as the weather has turned a bit cool

ive installed stickers and interior panelling (both said not to install under 25degree celcius) in like 10degree weather... they stuck fine... just use a hair dryer to lightly (do not melt the plastic!!!) heat up both the doorsill, and the black plastic... then press firmly until cool... i left braces on my interior panels for 24hrs.... but that was because theyre not sitting flat, but holding on vertical

i have seen the euro sils on ebay.. i think they are around $170rrp for a set of 4 (yes they have small sils for the rear doors too - pretty cool)...

if you go to the ebay address below, there are 10 sets on offer.. i am bidding on one set - dont push the price up too high!!! :)
i think the current bid is $60... so we can get them for a good price!

Go to Burg design's website, they are selling them for $69. The ones on ebay are a rip off!

How is ordering from the Burg Design website supposed to work?

I have made an order and put in my credit card details and i think i read that there will be a follow-up e-mail with shipping costs and i am to confirm it. But, no e-mail as of yet and it has been almost 2 working days. Either they're really busy or my order must not have been submitted properly (although i have received an 'order process' e-mail).

Give them a call or go over to their office at Moorabbin.

Yeah, i think i will give them a buzz today, else i might drop into their office at Moorabbin (i was just down there the other day actually, but had no idea Burg Design was down there too). A bit far for me however, so shipping would be easier.

Thanks guys, good to hear that they're usually fast :D
