I'm wanting to get some views/opinions from people that have used the fightex coilovers....

what car did you use it on? Did the car handle well? How was the ride quality? firm? bouncy? firm but comfortable?

If you could give your own views and a quick short review would be awesome and appreciated very much.

I use the zeal functionX regularly on a friends car and I love them. Excellent handling with very comfortable ride, smooth and not bouncy. I found cusco zero2's to be very bouncy on the dc2r. Considering either zeals or fightex..........

fightex if they are good cos don't want to be called a copy cat :p

I was thinking of getting these coilovers for the ef8 man, they looked nice, I assume the spring rates will be high depending on which valving you choose for your shocks, I like them because the height adjustment function doesn't effect the spring pre load and damper stroke. They are also rebuildable too which is handy. You're right, Zero2 is very bouncy

SPL_K had them on his old DC2R, and from what I understand he may have had some experienced drivers drive the car on track so they may be able to give good comment.

Wait for e240 and 82911 to tune in. They both used these in their track cars. Leonard rated them very high from memory. :)

Yeah...They're tops - having tried a couple of others like D2, HKS HiperMax Pros

They're firm but what you will find is they're not harsh - if you know what I mean
They don't crash like some other coilovers.

And finally, they're made in Japan @ Toda unlike most other brands that have now outsourced they're manufacturing.. :-p

Yeah Leo, I know what you mean.

Cusco's make my car bounce all over the place. They are a quality item but just not that refined in my opinion.

The FunctionX that I use are excellent, they make the car handle beautifully and are so comfortable to ride in. Did I say they're comfy?

So you're getting very good ride comfort in the fightex?

At the spring rates I have, I wouldn't say comfy - its firm and you can feel it, but it doesn't crash

I'm using N1s but there are other models out there more suited to street and track
