EG air-con compressor compatability!!

Hey all posting for a freind, he's got a EG sedan.
His old air-con compressor gave up on him and was wondering if one from the Ek would fit on his EG as i know someone selling one.

depends.

most will fit but its the hoses that connect to the compressor that may have a differtent orientation. example VTIR compressor will be different ( even though it will bolt on) to GLi. but GLi/Vti/Gl should fit each other. also if its an R12 system it will need to be converted to R134a, its just a matter of flushing the old oil out and putting in the new r134a oil.
