b16 - car starts but doesnt rev freely

hey guys, just got a eg with a b16a

the car starts but it idles really low - chokes and doesnt rev

i have checked and cleaned/replaced - spark plugs, leads, dizzy, injectors, fuel pump ( but ive heard that fuel pump can still flow but wont have pressure or something), checked and swaped over a working ecu, timing, ignition timing.

really confuzed about this - the only thing i havent checked is fuel filter but i dont think that would do anything.

would really appreciate it if someone could help :)

the fuel filter could be blocked so change that aswell.

i was thinking in the lines of fuel pump - should i change the filter first?

u can just take it out and see if the fuel filterin it is clean by looking at it and seeing whether or not its clear with no colour like water and try tap it on the ground and see if spec come out.
i also have the same problem as you, ive cleaned my iacv and replaced the fuel filter but my car still stalls when driving. i find that putting it in neutral and reving it up near the high 4-6k's a few times like a ricer fixes it temporarily, sometimes a whole day. good luck with fixing your problem and let me know when you do figure out what it is so i can give it a try on my integra

lolz, my car doesnt even rev pass 1k, hence doesnt rev freely

it starts than boggs as soon as u tap accerlator. idles about 200 maybe 400.

when i checked the fuel pump there was clean fuel commin out :)

ill take a look at the fuel filter tomorrow when i get a chance.

Do the injectors run off a resistor box like in the ed/ef crx's?

if it does, then check that and all associated wiring.

yer ive checked those and checked vacum hoses etc - i usually accelerate using the throttle body

damn u must have long arms :P

have you tried cleaning the intake out? on my cousins civic we sprayed a fkload of carby cleaner in the intake then some contact cleaner and you should of seen the crap that came out.

its a small metal box with heat sinks. it has wiring runnig to the injectors, have a look.
